Residency Program Site Construction In July 2025, a new Internal Medicine Clinic was chartered in the context of developing and implementing Graduate Medical Education. The new clinic began evaluating and treating patients with a team-based approach within Hannibal Regional Medical Group. EPIC was implemented within the new clinic as part of Hannibal Regional’s system-wide implementation. In August 2025, Medical Education transitioned to a new home that will be built out over the next several months to include state-of-the-art learning and teaching spaces in medical education: including an administrative home for the New Internal Medicine Program, medical student education activities, and spaces and technologies that will inspire outstanding learning and teaching in small group settings, skills-based simulation-based sessions, and effective classroom instructional formats for students, resident physicians, and community-based faculty. In September 2025, Dr. Brands and Ms. Wilson will be engaging in the Annual Meeting of the Missouri Chapter of the American College of Physicians and sharing information with colleagues, including staff, students, resident physicians, and attending physicians on the implementation of the new GME Program at Hannibal Regional. The New Internal Medicine Program will soon receive its first applications via ERAS. Please see the website pages on how to use this portal to apply to our new Internal Medicine Program!
