Hannibal Regional is pleased to announce that it was recently honored with numerous awards for excellence in healthcare by Healthgrades®, the leading resource that connects consumers, physicians and health systems. Many of these awards have been received by Hannibal Regional for several years in a row now, including being one of Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery™ and a Five-Star Recipient for Pacemaker Procedures three years in a row. One new award this year was being recognized as one of Healthgrades America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care™.
Healthgrades® ratings are based on over 45 million Medicare medical claims for the most recent three-year period available. Data received is for nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide and covers 31 conditions and procedures. Hospitals can neither opt-in or opt-out nor can they submit their own data, so the ratings are independent and impartial.
