Kickin' Cancer 2024

4/29/2024

The Hannibal High School Girl's Soccer Team held their annual Kickin' Cancer game on April 25, recognizing friends and family who have fought or are battling cancer. The Lay Pirates raised funds through several ways, including pink ribbons, a raffle and t-shirt sales which attendees wore to the game. Proceeds from these events benefit patients of the Hannibal Regional Cancer Institute and Hannibal Regional Cary Cancer Center by helping with transportation assistance, nutritional supplements and other resources. The girls presented their donation of $2,000 to representatives of Hannibal Regional Foundation, Wendy Harrington and Chris Maune, Cary Cancer Center Director Bob Hess, as well as Hannibal Regional President & CEO Todd Ahrens, along with his daughter Ainsley. Hannibal Regional is grateful to the Lady Pirates and all community supporters who strive to make a difference and help others.
