Hannibal High’s Pirate’s Cove Raises $1,000 for Cancer Care

10/14/2024

The student spirit group at Hannibal High School - Pirate’s Cove - recently held a fundraiser to benefit local cancer patients. At the October 11 home football game, supporters wore their pink gear to “Pink Out Porter” while cheering the Pirates on to victory. The Pirates Cove group sold shirts and sweatshirts to students and community members to wear at the game, and through their efforts they were able to make a $1,000 donation to the cancer patient assistance fund at Hannibal Regional. Accepting the donation were Todd Ahrens, President & CEO of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System; Lucas Peters, Board Chair, Hannibal Regional Foundation; and Chris Maune, Development Coordinator, Hannibal Regional Foundation.
