Hannibal Regional Hospital is making it easier than ever to access life-saving imaging services with the introduction of Hannibal Regional Mobile Imaging, a mobile imaging coach equipped to bring state-of-the-art imaging services directly to the communities it serves.
The new two-room Mobile Imaging Coach provides screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound and echocardiogram services, delivering high-quality care closer to home. In addition to serving rural communities, the coach will offer on-site mammography screenings for area employers, making preventive care more convenient and accessible.
These advanced imaging services provide physicians with the diagnostic information they need to detect and treat a variety of conditions as early as possible. By improving access to timely screenings and diagnostic imaging, Hannibal Regional Mobile Imaging helps patients receive the care they need sooner, leading to better health outcomes.
The Mobile Imaging Coach travels to communities throughout the region, including Kirksville, Edina, Canton, Lancaster, Shelbina, Moberly, Brookfield, and Paris, making it easier for patients to access essential imaging services close to home. Women age 40 and older do not need an order from their healthcare provider to schedule a screening mammogram; however, they must provide the name of a healthcare provider to receive their results. Ultrasound and echocardiogram appointments do require an order from a healthcare provider.
