Hannibal Regional Healthcare System is dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients, whether in the hospital or at home. Hospice care is a specialty health care service that focuses on quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of an uncurable disease so they can live as fully and comfortably as possible.
Many families are not aware of this valuable resource, one which can give them more quality time with their loved ones. The hospice team includes clinical and non-clinical professionals, providing compassionate physical, spiritual and emotional care. Time is spent with both the patient and the family, working together to ensure the highest level of comfort possible is provided.
