Biography
W. Tyler Winders, MD, MPH, C Trop Med, is an Emergency Medicine Physician, who began practicing at Hannibal Regional in 2017. In addition to his duties as an emergency room physician, he is the Medical Director of Hannibal Regional Medical Group’s Travel Clinic. Dr. Winders has always had a love for international travel and global health. His passion ran so deep that upon completion of his emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati he completed two additional years of training in global and public health at the University of South Carolina. During this time, he completed a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Edinburgh and obtained a Certificate in Tropical Medicine from the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. “I’ve practiced medicine in 7 countries on 3 continents including remote regions of Africa, Central America, and South America and continue to be involved in advancing global emergency medicine on an international level,” shares Dr. Winders.
